What We Recommend To Bring

  • Casual, comfortable, breathable clothes for 5 days and 4 nights. Expected May temperatures in Clemson SC are highs of 80 °F, and lows of 60 °.
  • Two going-out type of outfits, still comfortable to walk around in.
  • Shoes suitable for light hiking and walking around downtown Greenville, SC
  • Recommend extra shoes as backup since we will be near water often
  • Swimwear, there is both a pool and a lake at the Lakeside Lodge
  • Sunscreen
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Masks -optional but recommended
  • Lightweight backpack or tote
  • Medications
  • Toiletries
  • A journal or sketchbook, plus pen/pencil for your thoughts
  • If you opt to bring your own art supplies, mediums that dry quickly or can be transported easily are recommended. Note that we have an option to add on a complete plein air painting kit of gouache and poster color.
  • A light weight, collapsible easel and carrying case if you prefer painting standing
  • A hat to block sun
  • A good book
  • Phones, camera, and other tech you might need plus their chargers
